Axiel Technologies Limited is seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Officer to join our team. As the authorized distributor of Leica Geosystems’ reality capture business line in Nigeria, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge geospatial solutions and unparalleled support to professionals in various industries.


  • Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
  • Think strategically by seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
  • Implement necessary planning to facilitate operational changes and seek ways to improve business operations.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products or services and advise others about them.
  • Train team members and arrange external training where appropriate.
  • Discuss promotional strategies and activities with the marketing department.
  • Work closely with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events to represent Axiel Technologies and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed.
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members to foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, suggesting corrective actions as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the geospatial or related industries.
  • Strong strategic planning and market research skills.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and team management skills.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial technology and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
